In March 2008 ThyssenKrupp AG and Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University entered into a cooperation agreement, aimed at increase of engineering specialities prestige, practice - oriented activities, and professional orientation as well as the general support of students. This cooperation covers many activities and opportunities, which are related with the areas of collaboration between the University and industry.

Today collaboration with the concern Thyssen Krupp AG is one of the most successful and fastest growing programs of international cooperation at NSTU. From the very beginning the Russian side of the project was supervised by the Pro-rector for scientific activities Aleksey Borisovich Loskutov. In addition to the already existing agreement on mutual cooperation, a collaboration protocol is composed every year. The motto of our cooperation is "no sooner said than done". Thus, during the period of cooperation from 2008 to 2011:

• 7 students of NSTU did many months' practical work at Thyssen Krupp AG companies in Germany:

• representatives of the concern made numerous presentations, many of which you can find find here and round tables in English and German;
• 7 masters received cash prizes, winning TK Awards contest for the best Bachelor's thesis paper, established by the concern (total prize fund of 38 000 roubles per year);
• nearly 100 undergraduates of NSTU participated in the business game TopSim with an economic bias (for more information about the game can be found here);
