About chair

    The chair of Industrial electronics was founded in 1995 by professor Tumanov I.V. It set up on its own from the department "Theoretical basis of electrical engineering", which has been accepting students to the speciality "Industrial Electronics" since 1993. At first there was only one academic group of full-time students, now the number of students accepted to this chair has increased and there are two academic groups (one is for full-time students, the other one is for correspondence students).

    In 1995 a number of part-time students were accepted to NSTU branch in Zavolzhye. They also formed one academic group on the same speciality.

    Research activities in such directions as impulse power sources, wide-range voltage regulators are carried out at the chair of Industrial electronics.

    The chair has ten patents, carries out research activities for a total sum of contracts of 2500000 RUR a year.

    The prospects are to create students' design office.
